Quote :
"Immigration attorneys from Cohen & Grigsby explains how they assist employers in running classified ads with the goal of NOT finding any qualified applicants, and the steps they go through to disqualify even the most qualified Americans in order to secure green cards for H-1b workers. See what Bush and Congress really mean by a "shortage of skilled U.S. workers." Microsoft, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, and thousands of other companies are running fake ads in Sunday newspapers across the country each week. "

Bill Gates is trying to increase the amount of green card workers allowed in the U.S. because of this "shortage".

Speaking of fake ads; I think pretty much every government agency does the exact same thing just with a different motive.

I applied for a position with the Wake County Public School System a few years ago. The first step was to come in and take a test. I put on my suit, printed my resume, and took time off work to do this. I pretty much nailed everything on it except maybe a little of the Novell stuff. Never heard back from them. I did, however, take the time to create a brain dump of the test.

Six months later, another job is posted on their website. I go through the same process. I take time off work, put on a suit, and all that b.s. to go take their test in the middle of the day. This time I had a brain dump to study prior to going in. Lucky me, they gave the exact same test. I know I nailed everything. This time when I didn't hear back I really started to wonder what was going on. After a little bit of digging around I was told that they probably already had someone that they were going to promote into that position, but for legal reasons they had to have an interview process.

I have heard a similar story about NCSU doing the same thing btw. These discrimination laws are obviously worthless when they just interview a bunch of suckers knowing that they aren't going to give them the job.
