one of the preservatives in diet soda can be perceived as sweet, sour, bitter, or salty based on your genetic background. to me it tastes sweet, so diet soda doesn't bother me. to someone who perceives it as bitter, i can see them not wanting to drink diet soda.

i'll drink the tap water where i live now.. but theres no way in hell i would have drank it in most of the houses i lived in while i was in raleigh, especially over there on hillcrest road.
