unfortunately (and this is a key flaw) is that my wife and i make good incomes. we can choose to pay more for some things. the sad part is that many people don't have the luxury, and have to budget for the most cost-effective products.

Coca Cola is huge but easily avoidable. they own powerade (but not gatorade), they own minute maid (but not dole), they own nestea (but not lipton) etc. the majority of stuff on the list of 400+ brands were things I have never heard of anyways.

Let's not buy into the myth the Dalai Lama's PR firm has presented to use for the past 50 years. Tibet was never a peaceful fiefdom. It was a repressive regime that relied upon slave labor until the RLA came in 1957.

Also, the Tibetan Government in Exile does not want, nor does it seek, independence. They only want autonomy. I wish people would realize that.
