I kind of use facebook like a messaging program anyway with a few of my friends because we don't have AIM installed at work.

I dunno about your group of friends str8bacardi but we're pretty much abandoned AIM

during the day if we message at work, gTalk is pretty popular

it already launched. it's only active in a couple ivy league university networks however. we prolly won't see it for a few days

but yeah, i'm def not gonna keep facebook open in a tab all day. i'll stick to gmail w/ integrated aim

i've already pretty much transitioned out of using AIM b.c of facebook. might as well have facebook chat to complete the transition.

google chat was good

then it got awesome when it added aim

i only have 3 or so people i chat with out of 190

so until facebook adds a bedpan app, i'm good as is

i prefer gchat as well but will use this new facebook chat feature

will likely abandon AIM within 6 months

you can change the settings to ignore newsfeed items in the chat

not sure how i like the chat so far, jury is still out

gchat is still where its at for now

DoD computers have a sticker on them lots of times that specifically says that they will fuck your shit up if you bypass their controls via proxy
