p.s. they've never charged me to open files before...

of course i've always given them either print-ready postscript files or PDFs

Kinkos is still a lot cheaper than Office Max and Staples -- at least for large format printing, which has been my only experience with them.

I bought a laser printer

hp laserjet 1012 is an inexpensive black and white... its fast and reliable
toner cartridges cost about half of what the printer itself costs but I've only had to replace it once

What guest computers? The only non-student computers I know of are the 2/3 in the library, that are pieces of shit, and don't have print access.

And what kind of file? like something you emailed them? Is it a setup charge?
