so i stuck a six pack of dr. pepper in my beer fridge last night
i didn't realize how cold it was in there (i guess beer's freezing point is lower cause of the alcohol, my beer was not frozen)
i wake up today, take one out (looks normal and liquid) and open it
and as the CO2 bubbles rise to the surface, it seeds the crystals and forms like an ice-slush all throughout the bottle that slowly travels down until the whole bottle is like that
and it's still drinkable... it's like... a slushie, but better... not sure how to describe it
this is awesome though... anyone ever had this happen to them? 4/20/2008 6:23:24 PM |

Yeah, I used to freeze my Jack Daniels and drink it as it melts. I just didn't like putting ice cubes in it, made it weaker. 4/20/2008 6:25:59 PM |

no, see it wasn't frozen solid
it's still sort-of liquid
and didn't appear frozen until i opened the bottle and the bubbles seeded the crystallization process
and it isn't all granular like a slushie 4/20/2008 6:27:09 PM |

I do this all the time to drinks...my dad used to get glass bottle cokes and it was considered "perfectly frozen" when he got it out at that time. 4/20/2008 7:13:14 PM |
