Can someone else that has RR Turbo here in Cary/Raleigh do a few speed tests to confrim this. I have been downloading from usenet all day and just look at a few traffic stats and see that I have been averaging 1265 KBps down all afternoon. Upload is still the shitass 512 Kbps.

^^ dumb ass

1265 KBps = 9.8828125 Mbps

If you need a little help with the math equation, maybe you should just use google... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=6pl&q=1265+KBps+to+Mbps&btnG=Search

What the fuck are you talking about....

you came on here, seemingly complaining about your 1265KBps download average on your 10Mbps account, which of course 1265KBps is as close to 10Mbps you're going to get out of RR. Re-reading, I see that you're not really asking any question, but then again, what the hell was the point of posting this to begin with?

I think the point of this thread was that twc doesn't offer a 10mbps package, just an 8 and the OP was wondering if it was unique to his connection or if others were seeing the boost.

^yeah me too. The OP said he got a speed of "1265 KBps" which is ~300 kB/s above normal. I think he simply wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this slight boost.

Your bit/byte post didn't make any sense. He correctly posted his speed in bytes. Doesn't matter what you say it in as long as the conversion is right.

the op hasn't said that he's happy he's getting the speeds he's getting. It sounds like he's upset he isn't getting the speed he wants.

at least that's how I read it, and others have too.

I think it was more like he was wondering why it was ~300kB/s faster than normal which is a perfectly good question. TW doesn't usually give you a boost like that for nothing. I wish the damn upload was just faster. 50-60kB/s upload is like oldschool. You can't do jack with that upload.
