what does it matter if it was 2 years ago? i agree that most of those are fine, and i'll go as far as to say that rule should really no longer apply. tww has evolved to the point where "offensive" doesn't begin to describe the shit in some of these threads. not to mention that words like "faggot" or "nigger" are probably more offensive than "shit" or "fuck". i was mainly showing the irony in quoting rules when the guy who is pointing the finger made a thread with the same "offensive" word today.

and before you say "that was chit chat, this is the lounge" - that rule doesn't say anything about sections.

yes i know these things. yes i see that chit chat thread content may be NSFW without warning (although people continuously bitch when they're not marked). but my point is YOU quoted the rule. if you're telling me the rule no longer applies, is open to interpretation, or applies to only certain sections, that's fine and i agree. i'm sure i've made one or two that broke that rule, but i don't quote rules to people.

maybe it's time to just get rid of the rules. the only ones that seemed to be enforced anymore are on a per-offense basis.
