apparently it's code in the Dallas/Fort Worth area not to put any outlets throughout the entire terminal for passenger use.

except for one hallway where there are two. for all flights in the terminal

(I think it was terminal C for those of you watching at home)

A lot of airports are like that. Open a 110 ac kiosk is all I can say.

they do this so you can't look for other flights when yours has been cancelled/company has gone under

Look under a long bank of pay phones. Sometimes they use power strips for the phones.

Check the kiosks, agent desks, and the floor. Those can be opened by a key or a turn of a screw sometimes.

aha, i noticed that when i flew into DFW and had a 4-hour layover...the laptop at the time wouldn't last more than 2 hours on a battery

i'm flying through there on wednesday next week, but it's only about 90 minutes i'll have to wait, so no worries

Those may be those little stations where you pay to charge your phone or computer.

that was my first time in north dallas, and the entire place is like one enormous strip mall for like 50 miles of highway

downtown dallas itself is not too bad though

I HATE DFW.

got stuck there on the way back from sunny san fran in december 06 because of a BLIZZARD.

had to sit around for 5 hours, then 2+ more hours in the plane waiting to get de-iced.

they get about 1 of these a year and it happened to be my lucky day

DFW sucks and blows. there's no decent place to eat, the layout is stupid and i've NEVER had a flight out of there leave anywhere close to on time.

^fly into hobby when you go to houston

it's small, and pretty much only southwest.

hell, there are like nice business chairs with outlets between the chairs on the armrests and even usb chargers near the outlets.

me likey

thats why the professionals bring powerstrips with them

sharing, it's a fundamental skill!!

^hobby is alright inside. it's small as fuck so if you have a long layover you might as well tranquilize yourself. also, don't venture out of hobby on your own. you'll probably die. there are like 5 tire & rim RENTAL places around there.

I think it would look kind of silly to pull out a power strip when at the airport.

Do you need a battery backup too?

i've been a prisoner in o'hare far too many times to take a chance

its worth unlimited laptop, cell phone & ipod power access to carry a powerstrip when i the chances of delay are high (winter)

its how i roll and i'm sure if there was an open outlet on you, you'd be askin to share!!

However, kudos to southeastern airports for putting rocking chairs all over your terminals...

a grand idea
