if it's not available right now, then that means it didn't clear the bank last night. if it clears the bank tonight, then you'll see it available tomorrow. but if it's not in there now it won't be in there later today

Bull.

Might be a guideline, but as I think back to all my fin aid deposits, I've had most show up in my bank account between 10am and 2pm. I remember all too well one particular semester where I was waiting for it to hit so I could buy gas to go to work

^that's interesting. every direct deposit i've had, whether it's paychecks or something else, never showed up in the middle of the day. it was always there first thing in the morning (having cleared overnight) or not in there at all.

i didn't e-file. i just did them myself, printed out the documents, signed them, and mailed them in. but i got all my refunds via direct deposit...so yea, i guess as long as they have your account numbers on file for direct deposit, you should be good to go.

No you don't even have to do that. I mailed mine in and just selected direct deposit on the forms. Maybe those of us who sent in the forms (and did direct deposit) are getting our sooner? Has anyone who e-filed gotten your stimulus rebate yet?

I'm technically not eligible to be claimed as a dependent since I support myself, but my parents claimed me anyway.

It's optional to claim full-time students under 24, though the majority support thing still should have been taken into account.

Either way, I don't get anything this summer.

yeah i thought it wasn't legal if you paid your own living expenses (rent/bills/etc), not tuition and the like for more than ~50% of the year for them to claim you as a dependant

eitherway

eleusis did the e-file thing and his rebate was scheduled to come out may 2nd - it was available in the bank last weekend.

i did the print-it-out-and-mail-it thing, but i chose to have everything directly deposited. mine is scheduled to come out by may 9th, so we'll see when i get it last 2 of my SSN are 30.
