Orji is by far the worst professor

I had him my freshman year for CH101 and he was awful. A little less than halfway through the semester, everyone stopped going because his lectures were pointless and you could not understand a word he said. It was funny going to class and seeing only 50 or 60 (out of about 175 or so) people there.

fortran is easy. 90% of mistakes come from syntax errors. its not really something that 100 minutes in his lecture would help. all you need is an example of how the simple problems work. the final project was hard as shit and if you didn't pay attention in his lecture you didn't know what the fuck was going on. unless you are some kind of fucking math prodigy.

Department of Sociology/Anthropology:
Steve McDonald. Cannot keep a class engaged in lectures, inept at using computers, does not actually teach mathematics components of research. Cannot explain what a confidence interval is, or how to determine statistical significance. Injects personal political viewpoints into objective teaching.
Maxine Thompson. Uses out-dated material in teaching. Insults other forms of study. Claims objective figures are biased. Has a hard time pronouncing basic English words (And is from America). Injects perceived racism into objective teaching.

Department of Physical Education:
Peggy Domingue. Tries to enforce women using low weights and men using high weights on every exercise, regardless of individual level of fitness. Has the class perform numerous exercises that are unsafe for the knee and shoulder joints. Incorrectly calculates heart rate recovery. (I'm sorry, my resting heart rate did not drop from a 60 to a 42 over the course of just a semester.)

Oh, Fortran is easy as shit. Especially after taking Java last year and failing the shit out of that class because it got crazy hard in the span of about one week. I would literally go into Rodman's class, take the quiz if there was one, then whip out the crossword and work on that shit the entire time occasionally feigning interest in the lecture. When I did try to do the final project after procrastinating until I had a day left to do it I got it done in 6 hours without knowing what the fuck I was doing when I started. I got a 100 on that ho.

He's still a crappy teacher though. The best thing was when he brought in this dude who was like 150 years old and had him describe how they made the first lights on a computer into a monitor. Also... how the mouse was a huge luxury in 1965 or whatever. It was ridiculous. Not everyone is gonna be a CSC major and everyone is gonna forget Fortran as soon as they leave.

it's bad when a test is curved so 85-100 is an A+, but the class average after the curve is still in the low 60's

I had orji when i was a freshmen

most of us didnt know how to pick the good professors and in a large generic class like chem 101, you dont get that luxury. really like a shitload of people dropped the class and hte rest just didnt go

There definitely are some really horrible CH teachers at state. In fact, I only have good experience from Sandberg in any chem course.

So when I saw what she made on the NandO website I was pretty pissed. She's gotta be one of the most underrated faculty members to be making that, when compared to all these other assholes that simply cannot teach...
