I'm looking for a used road bike, don't really know specifics that I'm looking for as I am just getting into cycling...let me know if you have an old one laying around you don't ride anymore! 4/30/2008 12:28:40 PM |

How much are you looking to spend?
I have a NICE 2006 model Specialized Allez roadbike.
I'd be willing to let it go for around $400 or so. It has many upgraded components and as a past member of the NCSU cycling team, I have taken very good care of it.
I'm only selling it because I upgraded to a newer carbon fiber frame bike a while ago.
Make me an offer if $400 is too much.

If that's too much, Target has a good beginner bike called the Schwinn Trail Way. It's a hybrid bike I suppose-28 inch wheels but set up like a mountain bike. I just got one to ride to the lake ~4 miles from my house-the trail is 1/2 paved, 1/2 dirt.
Just throwing that in in case you are looking to get off the pavement and ride dirt trails. It is $200.00 new.
BTW, yard sales have them cheap, probably one at every four...
