i never knew how much better/easier mice worked while utilizing such a surface

nah, it's optical... laser, in fact... the logitech mx revolution



it's an awesome mouse, i had just been using it on my desk

it's even more awesome when used in combination with a mousepad

It just annoys the fuck out of me when I'm tracking the lazer along a wooden surface (my desk) and when finely selecting an edge in photoshop I lose my curve.
