^^^^ If that's true, why not just tell the coaches so you don't GET KICKED OFF THE TEAM.

Pretty sure Miles wouldn't kick a guy off the team for going to his father's funeral, so why not let the coaches know why he's going to be missing time?

He was involved in a bar incident like three weeks ago, "supposedly" Miles had to do some major damage control and it was pretty hush-hush.
