Obama could gain the support of many elderly white voters and many republicans if he pointed out that once he was elected then no one could ever really play the race card again. al sharpton and jesse jackson would finally have to shut up because anything they said could be refuted with "didn't we just elect a black man"

What I expect if any one of the candidates gets the presidency:

McCain- not much will change. we won't be much better off, but we won't be much worse off either.

Obama- more assassination attempts in the history of the US Presidency.

Clinton- absolutely no respect whatsoever from the majority of the world, ESPECIALLY the Middle East.

The difference in pay is fairly justified. If you can't see the reasons for this then you're more concerned with control than equality, and i'm sorry for you.

dumb. I've heard plenty of people say "durrr the middle east won't like a woman president"

since when does the US give a shit what anybody else thinks? especially the Middle East! Not to mention that both India and Pakistan have had female heads of state.

^^ India and Pakistan aren't exactly world superpowers either.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a female president- I just don't think that this term is the best time for it. The US is already on the rocks with most of the world for so many things. We need someone to rebuild the bridges, and that person isn't Hillary.

societal expectations for men and women are different. In a perfect world we could have true equality, but we don't live in a perfect world
