I guess you're not counting Chappelles Block Party? That movie/doc was awful also.

But this guy is overrated anyway.

If we're talking straight follow-ups, you can't use Matrix -> Speed Racer because of V for Vendetta nor can you use Star Wars: A New Hope -> Phantom Menace.

^^wachowski brothers didnt direct V for Vendetta. still, there's the matrix sequels

but george lucas didn't direct episode 5 and 6, he went straight from directing episode 4 to episode 1.

A lot of these youre listing are in instances where the director has a contract with a studio and he has to direct whatever project they give him.

That shouldn't count.

George Lucas probably the epitome of the thread here.

You couldn't be more wrong.

The Wachowski brothers didn't direct V for Vendetta. They directed Matrix, followed by Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions; and now Speed Racer.

And George Lucas directed nothing between A New Hope and Phantom Menace.

Get your facts straight before you look like a flaming retard.

The Ice Storm (80%) --> Ride With the Devil (63%)
a difference of 17%

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (97%) --> Hulk (61%)
a difference of 36%

Rotten Tomatoes FTW!
