or people like me who work around hundreds of germ infested kids. I never get sick...this is the first time I've ever had strep (if I have it).

Self-removal of one's tonsils will remedy this situation.

Yeah, strept is going around. Some of the young ones in my family are getting it, though I'm not sure how quickly it's spreading.

My thoughts of strep throat have now turned into a hatred for the minute clinic. I went there to get a quick strep test and instead the nurse practitioner says she thinks I have thrush...well, after consulting with her superior, she changes her mind and says she thinks I have strep...she does the strep test and afterwards, says "I dunno if you have strep or not." So I ask her why I paid her $70 to tell me something I already knew myself. She said she didn't know and that she just wasn't sure about how to read a strep test. So, I tell her that I would like to speak with her superior and she says "oh he's not here" (even though she had just spoken with him on the phone). After arguing with me for about 10 minutes, she gives me the minute clinic home office phone number. I call and they said there's nothing they can do about "the relationship between a patient and the provider."

Ugh, I had it twice this year already. Took me out for like a week each time.

Oh man, that place looks sketch just from the website. Looks like one of those fake search engine placeholder websites that pop up when people cancel their webhosting.

Yeah, if you're in the raleigh area right now and want to get semi-decent healthcare service on a moment's notice without an appointment, check out Accent Urgent Care. They were always helpful for me when I hurt my back, had like 5 sinus infections, and had to check for strep. Their people are competent, as far as I could tell. I have a regular doctor now, though.

They didn't give you any suggestions for how to treat the strep or nothing?

no, she said that she couldn't tell me anything because she just didnt know if I had strep or not. I asked her if it was safe for me to go back to work tomorrow since I work around kids and she said well, I'm not sure, just use your own judgement because I don't know if you have strep.

Hahahahah...

OK, that place shouldn't even be in business. Accent Urgent Care always had answers for me. The answers were "you don't have strep but you've got sinus infection symptoms again and it looks like there's fluid in your ears, so take this prescription as ordered and take decongestants and get some rest and it should go away". Are those minute clinic places in our area?
