best i saw in my 24v VR6 (basically same car except i had a gti) was 30-33 highway

typically 24-27 mixed driving (about half city half short highway trips)

as per fueleconomy.gov it is 19 city, 27 highway.
I get 23-24mpg (half city, half highway).
