for those in chit-chat who own or are fans of snakes.

I'm primarily creating this because I want to find a breeder within the belt-line that would sell me feeder mice so's I don't have to drive to Garner or north Raleigh, but I would like it to have a larger purpose.

Maybe even make it past page 1!!!

For posterity's sake, I have a ball python. Pics will come in the next few days, but I'm pretty sure most of you know what a ball looks like.

I make very little distinction between snake owning, nipple rings, and tribal tattoos.

Sorry.

I've owned a HUGE (like 10.5' or so) jungle carpet python (sold)

a burmese python (prob 9' and ill-tempered as hell)...was given to me from an owner who was gonna release it in the wild, and I kept it for 6 months or so before giving it to Carolina Pet Supply.

had a california kingsnake, but that little bastard managed to escape from his enclosure.

now I have a cornsnake that I caught when I lived in FL (it was a new hatchling at the time). it's basically an adult now, although not full grown.

I was the owner of Duke's Jungle Carpet Python.
10' 1'' and 36 lbs was the official measurement. From what I hear, it is the largest on record in NC.
Then I sold her to a breader.

I currently own a 3 year old female columbian Red Tail Boa.
6.5'' and 8 lbs

I owned a beautiful female Dumeril, but sold her.
as well as:
Ball python
Milk Snake
2 bull nose rat snakes
and some others.

"Call me Snake."

And this:

Quote :
"A Belgian chopper pilot called Remy Van Lierde took the photo during a patrol over the Republic of Congo in 1959. The snake he witnessed has been estimated to be anywhere from around 40-50 feet long. It was possible to estimate the size of the snake because of the many features on the ground in the images taken.

It was described by the pilot as a dark shade of brown and green with a white coloured belly. The jaws were of triangular shape. The pilot claimed the head was a massive 3 feet wide adding that as he cautiously moved in lower for a closer inspection the snake raised itself in the air as high as maybe 10 feet, looking like it may attack the helicopter.

After much expert analysis the images taken of this 'Giant Congo Snake' were deemed to be genuine."

I saw this rattlesnake today. It was not in the mood to be petted, so I just let it be. Anyone know what kind it is?
