I'll start with tool

1. Aenima, probably my favorite album I own

2/3 Undertow and 10,000 days, really hard to choose between these two, 10k days is a little more produced and mature but undertow is more straight rock

4. Lateralus, just never been crazy about this one, still a good album but it just sems a little vague and uninspired

OPETH

1) Still life. The most evil and beautiful cd.
2) Blackwater Park. Its classic, the tone is beyond amazing and has the songs that brought me to opeth.
3 & 4) Ghost Reveries/My Arms your hearse. Very hard to decide between these two. Both concept albums... MYAH had the first of the 'newer' 'opeth sound'. GR was perfection of it's concept...
5) Watershed. Haven't listened to it enough and its not a concept cd.
6) Morningrise/Orchid. Haven't listened to them enough.
7) Damnation. Not really my style but still has some great tracks.

i'm not really satisfied with that order. there's a lot of variety album to album and it just depends on what mood i'm in. i completely disagree with the uninspired comment though. maybe you haven't listened to it [loud/open-minded] enough.
i don't know. i'll probably change my mind about the order several times.

Of course, that means little since I love 'em all.

^Ben Folds released those EPs as an album with Supersunnyspeedgraphic, The LP. Its basically all the EPs along with a couple misc tracks (soundtrack contributions, a song from his work w/ The Bens and his Bitches Ain't Shit cover).

They were mostly re-done versions of only some of the songs that were on those EP's. I consider that more of a compilation than an album.
