Was a great car... Belonged to my roomate (female driver) who had the car willed to her from Grandma-

heres the specs:

1996 Toyota Camry LE

4door
Tan
108,xxx Miles
auto trans
4 cylinder
power windows, locks, seats
moonroof
a/c
abs
cd player
alloy wheels
spoiler

********Cracked Head********

This means the car will need a new motor and someone to put it in... Fortunately not too tough a job as it is the 4 cylinder and not the v6.

KBB- Private Party is $4200 in "good" condition.

Found an engine on http://www.car-part.com with 81k for $675

Haven't set an asking price yet.... Just accepting offers at the moment and gettin advice from the garage on how much it will run someone to get the new motor dropped in- Hopefully someone on here can do it cheap.

Pics to come with interest

yeah, that's why it has a cracked head.

a toyota is a toyota, but there's always a chance for a fucked up child in any family

not trying to troll here, but what's the difference? do you mean the cylinder sleeve? a cylinder can't be replaced without swapping the entire head

either way it needs a new head/motor- But just specifying the actual damage

someone give me $1000 for this and come pick it up asap...

if you pay $1000, do the necessary work, sell then this is a great opportunity to have a solid vehicle or make about $2000 for minimal investment

what does it need a bottom end or a head. did you take apart the motor and see the crack in the cylinder. or are you guessing cause it doesnt have compression.

either way 350.

how did the head crack?

I would guess the motor over heated and the head warped.

Depending on how it looks, I might go 500.
I do not have enough headaches in my life.
Replacing an engine should solve that.
