Bought this washer for $1100 2 1/2 years ago. It's a bit loud during the spin cycle . We complained and Lowe's gave us a voucher for a new one so we got one.
This works perfect and we used it heavily (think two kids) until last week. Model #MAH8700AWW

SO how did you pull this trick off?? Compain to Lowes and they give you a free washer, but let you keep the old one???
I love this idea! 5/21/2008 11:20:06 AM |

FYI, I have had this same washer for the last two years. Ours was noisy during the spin as well, even though it was leveled, reinforced, etc. The Maytag man came out and put a new base plate (whatever that is) in and it's fine now. The base plate was cracked. 5/21/2008 12:17:45 PM |

thats because you cant fix that noise (rear bearing) cost effectively unless you do it yourself. its totaled.5/21/2008 5:10:29 PM |
