Anyone else find that funny? Also plenty of fountain pumps for watering and you can usually find a nice postage scale there as well. If you get lucky you'll find something stashed in one of the seized vehicles(it's happened before) and you're in business. It's one stop shopping.

Sealed bid auctions. Mostly car stereos, rims and the usual shit dope users spend money on, typically go for more than they're worth. If anyone's looking for a vehicles though, a dozen of nice ford taurus's (state vehicles, not drug seizure) will be going off on 6/3. Should be able to pick one up for $2500.[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 12:38 PM. Reason : .]

all of their bids are taken pretty serious. if you flake on an auto bid, you cant bid for another 6 months or so. if you flake on a property bid, then its a warning.some stuff is worth it, other stuff you can get new for the price people are paying.
5/22/2008 12:38:42 PM
sounds like craigslist for the super super dumb people...where as craigslist is just for dumb people...tww is pretty much for jews
5/22/2008 12:41:46 PM
they do take the bids seriously. back in high school we would go there durning lunch sometimes. i bid on a car and actually won. i said shit. they sent me a letter in the mail and i couldnt bid for 6 months.
5/22/2008 12:42:36 PM
You can pay a fine now to get out of it, I think. I used to bid on a half dozen cars every week. After a couple months of low-balling, I won one. It's been my DD ever since.
5/22/2008 12:46:07 PM
i wonder if it works
5/22/2008 12:49:37 PM
so what would be a good bid on the grow lights?
5/22/2008 12:50:17 PM
just lowball the hell out of everythingand you probably couldnt afford the power increase using them
5/22/2008 12:51:22 PM
so i assume everything is as-is? you have absolutely no idea what works and what doesn't?
5/22/2008 12:54:46 PM
You can crank the cars. That's about it.
5/22/2008 12:56:30 PM
what about electronics/computers?]
5/22/2008 12:58:44 PM
Yeah I don't know about you guys but I do not think that filling out the bid form with all of your contact information is such a good idea for the grow lights.
5/22/2008 1:06:31 PM
^^prolly the same way with ncsu surplus^couldnt you just show up and pay cash and be gone?
5/22/2008 1:07:28 PM
no
5/22/2008 1:07:42 PM
i wonder how much those flat screens are gonna go for... could be a good new comp-monitor
5/22/2008 1:08:45 PM
They require a photo ID to enter, and you'll need a cashier's check and a photo id to pick up your winnings.
5/22/2008 1:11:29 PM
I can pretty much promise you they will not be a good deal. That shit goes for way more than it is worth. The thing I cannot figure out when I go in there is all of the construction and power tolls that are always up for forfeiture. I mean obviously no one was using a bunch of saws and drills to sell drugs with, that was probably for their legitimate income.
5/22/2008 1:12:50 PM
^^oh ok thats no prob...i got a few addresses i can use[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 1:13 PM. Reason : think i'm gonna bid like 5 bucks on the lights for fun]
5/22/2008 1:13:36 PM
5/22/2008 1:22:53 PM
I wonder if you bought lights or similar equipment if you would be put on a watch list.
5/22/2008 1:27:09 PM
prolly not...if i got those lights i would grow tomatoes etc...cant do that with a shitty 10 dollar "gro-lite" from wallyworld
5/22/2008 1:28:03 PM
Almost everything I have seen up there goes for way too much money. One time I went up there and found about ten microwaves, I was thinking I don't want somebody's nasty old crack oven.
5/22/2008 1:33:55 PM
on know at the state surplus place you can get some deals... we got a printer/copier that sells on ebay now with more use on them for 2-4grand- we paid 50 bucks for it (And it worked perfectly). We kept it for a while (a few people bought textbooks and photocopied them completely and returned them the next day). Then we sold it for 400 bucks (which was a steal for whoever got it)
5/22/2008 1:36:00 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if you got a random visit from the boys in blue a month or so after you bought those grow lights
