i had an abcess like that when i was in HS.

i had the same procedure seen in the video. after the doctor squeezed all the pus out, he took a pointed utensil and scraped the back wall of the abcess to loosen all the remaining infection and packed the incision with an 18 in. long strip of gauze, leaving about an inch hanging out. about 3 days later, at football practice, the gauze came out, rendering the worst stench in the world.
