you read articles like this, and it proves why this conflict was worth all the treasure and time we spent.

yet i'm sure every liberal poster here, will respond and say iraq still has nothing to do with al qaeda and still claim this conflict is 100% waste. i'll enjoy my safety while all of you research your conspiracy theories and complain.

They are losing their legitimacy. Without that, they will lose recruits.

I am thinking that Al Qaeda will exist in some form, but it will lose its ability to do any real ability for large scale attacks.

if you don't want to believe that fighting al qaeda in it's own lands isn't helping to end international terrorism then feel free to buy into any other theories you want.

we aren't at war with the iraqi ppl like half of americans believe. we're just a massive police force taking out group that wants to do anything to kill americans, and we're winning.

Lets stick to Al Qaeda.

The recruits will go to an organization that has more legitimacy. So whichever organization that is, Al Qaeda will feel threatened by them and attack them. They have already threatened to send their fighters to Lebanon to fight Hezbullah. And the leadership of Yemen used to be Al Qaeda members, so they are going to get a safe state like they wanted in Yemen.




The good thing about this option for them is that it borders Saudi Arabia. With the failed attack on Saudi Arabia Al Qaeda's support in Saudi Arabia has dropped to 10% says that article. Depending on how bad Yemen gets, we might have an ally or player right next door to help contain or reduce the threat.
