this is one of the easiest ways to see if youre valued as an employee. if you're off today with pay, they give a shit about you. otherwise, only a few scenarios can save them. i even hate to see them fucking interns but i guess thats just one of those things.

first you're working holidays, next your job is in india.

I'm not salary, so I would never get the day off with pay. Also, I agreed to work today so I can take a week off later in the summer. Still sucks though.

yep. even the banks are closed today. if your company could be closed but chooses to work you anyway, you should think long and hard about that company when deciding whether or not to give them your future

^^^^^ I live in an apartment complex that have a lot of Indians (dot, not feather ) and saw a bunch of them wearing that shirt. Thought it was pretty cool. At least I know they appreciate this country

Oh man.

Reminds me of the time we got buzzed by a b-1 at an air show. I will NEVER forget that. I was about 7 and remember it coming around ever so gently, then banking, diving, levelling out just over the ground, and headed right toward us. Then it started to put its wings back for the buzz.

By the time it was half a second or so short of zenith I had some primative reaction of terror and turned away from the noise. When I realized it had passed over I looked over my shoulder up at this magnificent black bird with its engines on fire, melting the air beneath it. It was unearthly.
