In my psych class, we talked about how you can develop an aversion for certain foods if you ate them right before you got sick.

What foods have you developed a distate for because you got sick after eating them?

I used to like alfredo sauce until I ate it with fish, which gave me food poisoning. Now alfredo sauce makes me

I couldn't eat egg salad for a few years after I got a sub with some on it that had ice crystals all in it. But not because it made me sick. It was just really gross.

My mom and sister tried this shit once. They were all like "We got sick at Red Lobster, we're never going back." I'm like, Fuck that, I'm gonna miss out on red lobster the rest of my life cause you guys got sick there once 5 years ago? That's retarded.

(Turns out, I was retarded for liking Red Lobster)<---Troll food.

Subway's Italian BMT....had the worst 'stomach flu' of my life the same day I ate one of these.....was the last thing I ate before getting unbelievably sick.....The thought of one makes me want to yak still. I'm still not convinced it wasn't food poisoning

Wasn't able to eat shrimp for a while due to the same effect.....My love of shrimp eventually won this battle tho

Absolut Mandarin (or really any orange-flavored Vodka)

I drank many, many things the night of my 21st, but it was doing shots of Absolut Mandarin that immediately preceded 13 hours of vomiting.

One time in middle school I ate some sausage at lunch that someone didn't want.

Later on, I got hit TOO hard in the noggin by a basketball in gym.

I ended up getting a concussion, and throwing up a bunch of sausage-tasting mess.

Even though I always found them delicioso, I couldn't eat sausage for years after that.

It's not really foods as much as it is brands of foods or fast food places...

Like KFC. I'll never eat at KFC again. The last 4 times I've eaten there I got sick later, and took place from a couple different locations.

As far as actual foods that I won't eat... Hmm... I'll eat pretty much anything as long as it isn't nasty and ridiculously fatty (I'll make an exception for expensive food from a luxury restaurant but shit like $1 mcdonalds cheeseburgers is out of the question).

Lobster.

Ate way too much of it fresh when in Maine for 10 days.

Now the thought of the green innards (Tamale? or something) just makes me think of all the CRAP at the bottom of the sea that these guys get fat on.

vodka, and now most junk food--as I feel sick after eating it

I used to avoid lots of different veggies and obscure fruits, but now I'm all about stuff I once couldn't eat.

I got over the aversion, and my tastes have changed.

the idea, yes. flavor, not so much. the different colors have different flavored shells although it's not a strong flavor. the chocolate is closer to dark than milk.
