So yesterday my roommate decided to be a super genius when she left for work and let the dog get by her on the way out the door. We had taken his collar off the day before to put the Front Line flea stuff on and you have to leave it off for 24 hours to soak. He had no tags on or collar. She then proceeded to leave with the dog outside and not bother to tell my girlfriend (who was here). All she did was text message me that the dog was outside and she had to go to work.

I was 5 hours away in Asheville and did not read her text message until after hotcurlz24 noticed the dog was missing. She had gone to look for him and while she was gone the cops came by and put THREE MISDEMEANOR CRIMINAL SUMMONS on the door.

- having an unlicensed dog in the City of Raleigh (there is some obscure unenforced ordinance that you have to get a license to own a dog)
- allowing your animal to run at large
- having a dog with no rabies tag

Now the stupid dog is in Jail and its gonna cost $100 or $150 to bail him out and hotcurlz24 has a court date.

they tried to pull that license shit on my roommate when she registered her dog for the dog park in charlotte, and since the dog hadn't been licensed she had to pay a late fee which cost more than the license... GAY!

The dog is an escape artist. I have gone to the trouble of building a six foot high fence around my entire back yard, screening the bottom with netting, tearing that off and re screening the bottom with hard chicken wire after he ate the netting. I had really hoped after he was neutered he would stop trying to get away so bad.

The neutering really helped his obedience (he will come back when you call him now, he used to just bolt). He is some kind of poodle mix but has the temperament of a Jack Russel. I mean I thought about demanding money from the room mate, but I am sure she would come back and say its not my dog and it does not listen to me.

The thing is if she had just had the courtesy to get my girlfriend all of this trouble would have been avoided. I mean this is pretty much comparable to me knowing her car was about to get towed or something and just standing by and not even telling her or stopping it.

My other concern is once they get your dog the first time, from there forward the fees go up and you get bigger tickets. This dog is such a maniac I am scared something else will happen later and we are really gonna get screwed.
