So my webmail access is about to be terminated (Graduated in December) and I've already set everything up to forward all new emails to my new gmail account.

How do I forward all existing emails in my webmail inbox to my gmail account, other than forwarding each email individually? Can I "Show all"..."Toggle all" and forward them all at one time somehow?

When I tried to do this, it attached all of the emails to a single email and wants to forward like that

Yes, I'm a webmail n00b. I use lotus notes at work

does webmail allow POP or IMAP? if so, gmail will go in and get your mail for you

Bingo.

I think I found a link on NCSU's site detailing all Imap server info.

Thanks!

^^ I did the same. Unfortunately, Gmail will sort it as the time Gmail received the mail, not the actual timestamp on the message. Not a big deal, but kinda annoying to me. Otherwise, that worked great.

Well when I did it, if I actually opened a message, it had the original timestamp. But if I just looked at my inbox, they were sorted by when Gmail received the message.

mine is sorted by the original time stamp. I moved mine in January (no gmail account before Jan 08) but I have mail dated 2003 that I moved from webmail.

But yes, thunderbird (or another email client) is the easiest solution.

If you transfer using IMAP (drag and drop on your computer) the time stamp will remain the same.
If you use GMail's built in POP transfer tool, the time stamp will change to the day of import since GMail received it then.
