I just got a yearly tax bill for a car I sold last month... do I still have to pay it? Or should I ignore it and subsequent collection attempts?

The tax dept. for Wake Co. is pretty helpful actually. Give them a call.

Call them.

You did turn in the license plates, right?

I had the same thing...Bill actually came in before I sold the car, but I sold it quickly and called for an adjustment. They knocked the bill down to $1.25 or something.
