i'm telling you bro. hit the pavement. it doesn't seem like you have a major salary requirement. there's cool jobs to get in manhattan if you're willing to sacrifice. you got a nice resume, just hit the pavement with it.

I've been sending it out electronically but I'm going to go out with a satchel full of print copies and a nice set of duds on and demand I get a job somewhere

yeah, most times the electronic way doesn't work. especially in NYC. its sort of like Miami. employers want to make sure you're thin and don't have any deformaties. it's fucked up, but employers want attractive people in major cities. or at least that's what i found.

my first job in Miami was for a dumb ass company that i landed over the internet, but i remember showing up after i got the job offer over email, etc . . . and I had one in person interview. i recall the interviewers saying, "and your good-looking too . . . " it was inappropriate.
