if they dont have simple drugs for 4 bucks theres no way theres anything "worthwhile" on there (meaning cheap, not abusable)

anyone ever get a good deal from a walmart pharmacy?

i knew it was a publicity stunt but i didnt realize they were selling fucking aleve for 4 bucks and putting a dude in a wheelchair on tv to push it. assholes

i dont know what you mean by "maintenance meds"

is that like for people with arthritis?

i saw the commercial with wheelchair dude thinking they had like EVERYTHING for 4 bucks. like AZT or whatever aids stuff, and the severe pain stuff, and the heart stuff, and all that shit.

but it looks like a bunch of wal-profen to me

[Edited on June 2, 2008 at 10:29 AM. Reason : actually i think walprofen is walgreens, cause i dont go to walmart really and i have walprofen]

Such as? If you don't mind me asking.

Last time I needed something, the doc was all about pushing some newer, high-dollar meds, and wasn't listening to me when I told him "[cheap, older medicine] is not just cheap. It works - I've told you this three different ways. Quit pushing that new medicine on me. I shouldn't have to go see another doctor to get a Rx for a medicine that has a history of working, gives me no side effects, and is cheap, to boot"

I avoid taking medicine for so many reasons, but when I've been forced to, even as a teen, I'd do my research before any appointments.

Glad I did, knowing now what I know about the pharmas and their practices.

Btw, they have at least a few psych drugs on that list
And not all the stores have the same list. Edit: I don't mean different walmart locations, which is how it reads, but Target, Kmart, and the ilk
And the pharmacies at Costco (and maybe sam's?) are open to the public, not just members.

and combine that with how i act on tww and i probably seem like -25%

i felt like picking on walmart on tww, it seemed harmless enough. sorry to offend

My last two prescriptions came out to a whopping $13 at Wal- Mart, but I'm assuming that was largely the result of the insurance policy I pay $200 a month for.

They also gave me a gross amount of some kind of numbing cream the doctor prescribed. I used like two little tubes and have a box with 20 more unopened ones. I guess they'd be good for minor burns and stuff.

ambrosia, depending on what exactly he is referring to, there are some new drugs that are night and day different/better.

i'm into that cheap prescription thing at wal-mart. i used to be able to get 3 months of generic birth control for a $20 copay, but my insurance changed their ways and made me pay $20 per month. i just switched my prescription to wal-mart because they started offering 3 months of the BC for $27. i think it's crucial savings over the year.

Cheap Prednisone? Ooh. How do you get hooked up for this shit?
And, don't worry, TWW, now you can get your poor choices in hookups taken care of with $4 acyclovir!

For poison ivy..... and having it over the majority of my body. And yes, it felt like a hookup due to the fact I'm extremely allergic to it. Granted, it's not like it's that expensive, to begine w/.

hahah wow, lots of people want to know what my prescription was. its no big deal, it was more that ive been sick like 5 times in the past couple months, and only once was one of my prescriptions on that list. (amoxicillin from my ear infection a few weeks back) which ended up being like 8.99 at walgreens with insurance so i just went there cause its so much closer than walmart.

i just looked at the walmart list the first time today and was a little surprised...

^^ BF has Ulcerative colitis, so it's nice to know any short-cuts. His other maintenance med isn't on there, I don't think, but he only really needs the prednisone for severe flares. (Can't really take it too often or it'll start dissolving your bone structure.)

It's not really that great, $4 doxycycline is 10 days or something, so a month is $12, not that much less than anywhere else. Same with all the others. If anyone rxed the abx quantity they have for $4 and it's not for a small child or infant they need a boot to the head because it's not going to be enough.

i swear to god lewoods, you post the stupidest shit, and make it seem like it's the truth. why don't you look at the price list that is available on the wal-mart website. it clearly states that you can get a 30 day supply of doxycline for $4. and that applies to many other medications. you're the one that needs a boot to the head.
