Rather wait for the Chevy Volt

Uses no gas (all electric) for trips less than 40 miles.
Over 40 miles it uses a small gas engine to recharge the batteries, extending the range to over 500 miles.
4 seats.
Actually looks like a car (a good looking one too IMO) and not some kind of gay insect.

a guy i work with tried to get aptera to bring one of their cars over on earth day, but they couldn't. people i work say they've seen them driving around up there in carlsbad.

Speaking of the fuel cells/hydrogen cells, I'm working with some nanotech stuff that could make them usable in powering cars. I'm pretty stoked.

the volt was originally supposed to be under 30, but it looks like it will be between 40 and 50, which economically doesn't really help with gas prices, even when gas is 4 bucks.
