you are worthless. i had just checked out at the western food lion today. i noticed three emo kids wearing girl jeans and avenged sevenfold hats walked in. i instantly felt the need to shoot them in the face. i walk out to my car, and see them running out of the store with cases of beer. manager was in hot pursuit. one of them came running towards me, and i took him down with a combination of a clothesline and tackling him mclovin-style.

do you actually think you can roll up in the store with everyone standing around everywhere, grab a case of NATTY LIGHT, and run out with it?

i have since decided what i previously only speculated: all emos are worthless pieces of shit. if you are a guy and wear girl pants and wear your hair in your face, you deserve to get hit by a large bus.

I considered Avengened Sevenfold more "Post Hardcore" and "Screamo" than I do "emo". Dashboard Confessional is straight emo though. Mae, Further Seems Forever, The Early November, Saves the Day are relatively emo as well.

Just like you can break down different genres of metal and hip hop you can do the same with punk rock.


EDIT: I went to a Bayside concert in Greensboro this past semester with my younger bro and his friend. We all had blue jeans or khaki pants on with like bright T-shirts(NC State red or something). Everyone inside was emoed out. We stuck out like sore thumbs and got looks from people but no one fucked with us and we enjoyed the show. So the story here is that the music doesn't make the image the people become the image for the music.
