actually going through durham co. to get to work and some pig tagged me and pulled me over for speeding. I have a radar detector and it didn't go off. And the best part is, I didn't see him sitting on the side of the road, which means he was probably moving...

anybody know what radar frequency those durham country cops use? apparently its not X, Ka, K or Laser 905nm or any POP radar technology

Maybe he just matched his speed against you and wrote the ticket off of what he judged your speed to be.

doesnt really matter, theyre "trained to be able to tell how fast youre going" in their little coppy cop schools, according to some local cops i know

its not like youll have any trouble getting it dropped anyways, just a hassle i know

north durham where US-501 crosses I-85 on the northbound side. I'm sure he was moving while he clocked me because theres no way in hell I was going that fast.

Haha, I wonder if he just wrote you a bullshit ticket.

I was under the impression if they didn't write in a fine amount it was just going to be a warning.

Though I don't know, they'll do anything to trick your ass these days (they being everybody who believes they can get money from you).

Some cops are just bored. My best friend got a ticket for going "48 in a 45"...down Weston Parkway. NO construction, no school zones, just cruising. She had to show up on her court date and have it dropped by the DA.

There is such thing as Ku band, popular in Europe, but it's pretty rare in the U.S., if it's used at all.

Ugh, I do all I can to avoid cops. I look in the rearview a lot, and if I see one getting close I pull into a business parking lot if there is one around, or a side street. But only if he's not right behind me, or I could risk getting followed. There was a deputy in Ellerbe doing all he could to spook a driver behind me, so I pulled into a rest stop until he was far up the road. I fuckin' hate cops.
