still dont see the problem with it, now if he was standing there with his hands up and the cop decided to plow him anyways then yeah thats shitty. Also if he wanted to hit the guy headon and kill him he could have, looked like he side swiped him enough to make him stop running. Yes cops are dicks a lot of the time, but once you start running from them then too bad for you IMO.

^^ I don't know man. I think you're severely underestimating how much damage your body takes when being hit by a car, and subsequently hitting the hood and then ground.
That combined with the fact that the officer has little to no control over the amount of "deadly force" being applied to his SUSPECT.

p.s., you don't sideswipe with the front of the battering ram on the car.

Trying to hit someone with a car = Assault with deadly weapon. Friend of mine got hit twice by a car (it was spinning out, he bounced off the hood, then got smacked by the trunk as it spun around.) and that was what they charged the guy with (before they deported him.)

Actually, I don't have a huge problem with the fact that he hit him, it's the fact that he was being hateful. If he hit him and could say that he did it in normal performance of his duties fine, but he is obviously biased against certain people, so his objectivity is shot. You have to be able to trust people like cops, they should be held to a higher standard than some backwoods Joe.

you have a terrible understanding of law enforcement and the judicial system in this country. You seem to be one of those people that have to have the police unfairly beat, shoot, or taze you before you get the message.

We have a judicial system in this country for a reason. That reason is so that evidence can be reviewed in a controlled environment BEFORE punishment is handed down.

But whatever....I guess you'll see what's up if you're ever falsely accused of a crime, and a vigilante cop comes out of the woodwork...only to brutalize you to the point that you can't function normally anymore. Maybe then you'll sit in your wheelchair and think to yourself "man, I wish that cop hadn't just assumed that I was guilty....maybe then he couldn't have cracked my spinal cord in three places..."
