(assuming you eat hummus)
is the hummus a spread on your pita?
or is the pita a vehicle for the hummus? 6/13/2008 1:29:49 AM |

the difference is like snidely asking someone if they would like some biscuit with their butter 6/13/2008 6:44:40 AM |

Pita vehicle.
The only hummus I really like is the Roasted Red Pepper stuff they sell at Whole Foods. I keep that in my fridge most of the time now. The other stuff is too plain to me. 6/13/2008 6:56:39 AM |

i don't know, i like both..
so, i guess when i'm in the mood for pita, the hummus is a spread..
but when i really really want some hummus, the pita is just a vehicle.
sometimes i makes some butter/garlic toast as my vehicle, and sometimes i'll just use my finger... that also helps keep other people out of my hummus. 6/13/2008 7:35:09 AM |

With pita is best but I'll just eat hummus outright sometimes. 6/13/2008 8:08:45 AM |

I'm a bigger fan of baba ghannouj than hummus. 6/13/2008 9:09:13 AM |

It depends on how good the pita is. Another Thyme had surprisingly delicious hummus, but the pita was all warm and slightly crispy on the outside ... mmmmmmm ... and now I want hummus. 6/13/2008 9:11:03 AM |

I prefer pita chips if you want to get technical, but I can down some pita at Neomonde. Man I miss that place. 6/13/2008 2:27:22 PM |

hummus and pita are open relationship partners in the drama of my diet, sometimes together, sometimes with others, sometimes together with others....
swingers if you will
