I'm mostly expecting it to be a stolen phone, but as long as the ESN is clear, I don't care.
I already know this broad is dumb as dirt. And yes, 'broad' is the most appropriate moniker at this time. 6/13/2008 12:28:02 PM |

I'll be getting a new phone in september, too
This is only to tide me over til I can switch to SERO. I love my current phone, but it's been slowly dying for a while now, and has sped up in the past couple days
I'm going to assume the ESN isn't clear. She was prompt about responding to emails until I asked 'I assume the ESN is clear. Is this so?'

yeah, existing customers can't get the $49.99 deal. I even told them they could tack another 2 years on the end of my contract, but they said no way. I raised shit over it too. I have been with Sprint for over 10 years, and the best deal they could give me was $200. 6/13/2008 12:57:34 PM |

I switched from ATT to sprint
And you know how picky I am and how much BS I tolerate And I plan on sticking with Sprint after my first 2yr contract with them expires

For a while, sprint was calling me 2x/week, offering me $175 off any phone if I just renewed my contract. I dunno what 'retail' is on this, but that may net you a better deal.6/13/2008 1:09:55 PM |

^ yeah, that $175 rebate is based on the life of your phone, not on your service contract. I recently found that out as well. However, in order to get that rebate, you have to renew your contract. That is why I am getting a free phone in September. I'll get that $175, and I just assume that the rumor will be about $175 by then. 6/13/2008 1:20:51 PM |

I dunno.
My contract started 9/11/06. I first had an LG LX350 that I accidentally washed in June/July 07. I got a treo. Hated it. Switched to a samsung upstage in september 07. I hated that even more, said fuck it, and bought another LX360 in october 07. So I've had my current phone for only 9 months.6/13/2008 1:24:50 PM |

well that is the one thing I will say that drives me nuts about sprint. Their customer service sucks....it seems like every time I call there is a different story. But they definitely have the most reliable network. i never drop calls, and I get service where none of my friends with other carriers do. 6/13/2008 1:30:16 PM |

employee login + notepad + F5
or
recording phone calls.
strangely, I don't get jerked around. Even when I did still have to call in. They've finally gotten shit straight on my account.
I've come to the conclusion that the majority of folks who have ongoing problems with sprint just aren't controlling enough when dealing with customer service.
But yes, their customer service department could use some improvement. 6/13/2008 1:32:43 PM |

i hate the rumor. i am a verizon customer and use the en V. Rumor lacks the EV-DO i require, as i use the internet on my phone all the time. also, i enjoy the better camera and screen size on the en v. once sprint gets a decent phone with a qwerty i'll switch to them. 6/13/2008 1:38:39 PM |

i know within the first 30 seconds when i call in if I am going to get jerked around, just by the accent on the other end of the phone. when i get an indian, i just hang up and call back 6/13/2008 1:40:55 PM |

I've been with sprint 4 years and never once have I not gotten what I wanted. Except maybe now when I keep trying to combine two 150 dollar per line rebates into one 300 dollar rebate toward the Samsung Instinct.
I just renewed my contract last month after running up $399.99 (long story, $99 shared plan. my treo650 broke in october I wasn't using my line and thought the other person was paying the bill) and I was able to get 241 dollars credited to the account. I paid the remaining balance off and they allowed me to switch my number to the SERO 500 plan. I got to keep the other line active on the account as a Free and Clear Add-a-Phone. (Basically a pay-per-use emergency line). This was at the end of May and the balance due on my new June bill is -.01cent. I'm still trying to get hooked up with a better rebate for the samsung, but it's proving harder than I thought. The best I've gotten so far is a 30 dollar credit if I buy the LG LX-160 and my rebate doesn't cover it.
All in all I'm completely satisfied. PS: Always email eCare from within your sprint online account as they are exponentially more competent and helpful than the first level you get when dialing *2.

Just read this after posting. I think this sums it up pretty well, it's always irritating when people bash Sprint's customer service when you're one of the ones who never seems to have problems with it.
