Awful. Just a terrible, terrible, terrible abomination of a film.

This may go down as the worst experience I have ever had in a theater. Period. Any genre. What a waste.

Literally - nothing happens. There was no "tie-together" M Night moment. There was no resolution. There was no character depth.

There wasn't really...anything. At all. I am still bewildered. I HAD to have missed SOMETHING. There is NO WAY that a movie can possibly be so UTTERLY PATHETIC.

There is no matter of opinion on this one. It is an awful movie. Do not see it if you value money or time.

the movie was just terrible. terrible acting, terrible plot. I wouldnt put it as the worst movie ive seen though.



there is some truth to what m night is trying to get across. he mixed it in with some twilight zone shit but it just didnt fly.

Elliot, Alma, and Jess are accompanied by another group of people. Later on, Auster is affected by the toxin, and proceeds to kill himself. The group that was following Auster also proceed to do the same. Elliot's group, who are now aware of the toxin, start to run and split into three groups. Elliot, Alma, Jess, and two boys stay together until the two boys are later shot and killed by a deranged man living in a house which the group tries to enter to get some food. Elliot deduces that plants and trees produce an airborne neurotoxin when the number of people that are present is larger than a threshold, and also that this threshold is decreasing with time.[1] Finally even isolated people are affected. Elliot, Alma, and Jess can stay in a house of a woman who lives an isolated life. However, she gets suspicious of them and tells them they have to leave the next day after she wrongly accuses Elliot of stealing. After arguing with Elliot, the woman goes outside and gets affected by the toxin, kills herself. When they realize they have to stay inside, Elliot is in the house while Alma and Jess are in the barn. They prepare to die and have a last conversation through a speaking tube, but then go outside to meet, to die together. However, the pandemic is suddenly over, and all three survive. They adopt Jess (Julian's wife has died as well). Three months later, with Alma being pregnant, there is a new outbreak in Paris."

Thanks 86, I had planned on seeing this movie but wasn't sure if I wanted to risk wasting the money and time. I saw Signs and The Village so I this would have been strike three.

^ Signs was excellent. The Village was okay. This was nowhere close.

The Village is the worst example of storytelling in a major motion picture I've ever seen. The water thing in Signs is just goddamn stupid, but it's a copout to end a film that's almost over long and I can deal with that. Trying to scare us with a monster for 20 minutes after you've just shown us that the monster is fake is fucking awful storytelling that would frustrate a preschooler.
