My wife used to work with his girlfriend so my wife saw his gf and started chatting. So I introduced myself to Brandon.

He looks really good. Lost a ton of weight. He says we should be better than we have been the last 2 seasons... of course we heard Gav say "4 losses" so take it or leave it. But it definitely seems like Brandon got the memo.

He actually said he may be playing the 3 this year... interesting. Making room for Tracy at the 4 and of course Ben playing the 5? Could be an interesting line up. If Brandon can nail the 3 pointers like he did in 06, it may be a decent move to make room for Tracy. He's definitely dropped the weight so I don't think keeping up should be a problem.

They need to stick Costner at the 4 and leave him there. His freshman year success was basically due to the pick-and-roll with Atsur. Back then, he would either pop the three (if left open) or drive past the other team's PF if tightly guarded. Playing him anywhere but the 4 is a huge mistake IMO.

Yep, the 4 is where he posed a matchup problem. That one year, he had some very strong moves driving to the paint and with his back to the basket because of his ability to hit the shot. He also rebounded well during that run.

yes it was. from time to time, after multiple consecutive 60 hour work weeks, i sometimes travel into the dimension of fattiness. and then when the crew plays bball, i lose all hustle because i'm winded (almost urrbody in my office is a former athlete). it usually takes me an entire week to get my stride back.

^^no vinyl is right and the fatness was a RESULT/byproduct of the laziness. Laziness was the root of the entire problem. If he wasnt lazy he wouldnt have let himself get that fat and think he could be competitive in D1/ACC Basketball. He also wouldnt have let himself STAY that out of shape.

That laziness kept him fat and ALSO resulted in a lack of hustle on the court. sure they overlap some in that he got winded, but he was lazy beyond being fat too.
