Thats cause you've never played..
Just because they don't look like football players doesn't mean they are pussies The only sport with a higher Contact/pad ratio than soccer is Rugby.

I had my knee ripped apart in high school by a metal spike when some fucktard came in trying to break up a double play with his foot up... I completed the DP though

I couldn't get out of the way without completing the throw so I had to hang in there... the turn at 2B is dangerous as shit if idiots don't know how to do a take out slide...

regardless of if thats true or not, there was ZERO contact in the video...dude is a puss...at least in basketball there is a little contact before they flop

Yeah, I'm not sure how or why they calculate contact/pad ratio, since Bball seems to have more contact without any pads.....

seriously folks

cristiano is a flopper, we all know that

but the writhing is because he got stepped on with metal cleats on his essentially bare feet (if you've ever worn vapors, you know)

as far as contact goes, there's way more violent contact in soccer than in basketball

incidental/body to body contact is about equal

If he just got his foot stepped on with a metal cleat he needs to man up and not be a bitch. I can see why he wouldn't be able to play the rest of the game but don't make a huge scene out of it.

he had on cleats and he got his foot stepped on

you'd think he had just had his knee popped out of place by a 250 lb linebacker or something, the way he writhed around

btw just so you dont think i'm being completely biased, i think paul pierce completely flopped like a bitch in game 1...a wheelchair? get real

and NyM410 is dumb for standing in there vs flying spikes for a DP in a high school game

I played some middle infield in high school and whenever someone came in spikes up I just took the out at second and gtfo of the way

Not worth it at that level

i absolutely hate cristiano ronaldo, he is the epitome of all that is wrong with soccer. anytime someone gets within ten feet of him he flops on the ground and rolls around crying like a little bitch, i seriously wish that he would get a career ending injury so that i don't ever have to see his unbelievable theatrics again. the same goes for anyone else who flops, they don't deserve to play the game anymore.

That pad ratio thing is also retarded to bring up about soccer being tough. I don't see cross country runners wearing pads so that must mean their sports is tough. Soccer doesn't have enough contact to warrant pads besides shin guards and even then they shouldn't wear shin guards.

I like playing on the weekends for excercise, because it is the most draining sport in that regard

but its not like soccer players are warriors at all

How often does that happen. I could pull shit like that up from any sport. Like Slave Famous said soccer is not a tough guy sport stop trying to act like it is. I will say it takes alot of stamina to play.

wow, what a flop. rugby players get raked and stamped on all the time and they don't roll around for 10 minutes. as long as its not on the head or chest theres no reason to flail around.

look at this, bonnaire barely flinches when he gets stamped on the face:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0soxm9uFYQ

weekend soccer with fat mexicans isn't a contact sport. professional level soccer with dirty players is a very intense contact sport.

i dont see many fat mexicans playin soccer

these mexicans and the jamaicans they play with would whip the crap out of you

face it, those mexi-maican wars on the IM fields are as good as it gets in the world of soccer

remember how easy it was to find replacments during the soccer strike?

[Edited on June 23, 2008 at 4:09 PM. Reason : the strike no one really cared about]

No it is not. It just involves running not much contact at all. A few bumps a game doesn't not mean very intense contact.

how many times to you hit the ground in hopes of sitting out or drawing some penalty when you were never touched?

how many times does someone score in your games?

i bet you hit the ground more than the amount of goals made

I hit the ground a few times since I always try to do crazy Lou Kang bicycle kicks but I never get them right

but we don't call penalties really, except this one time this kid named Eric kept handballing on purpose so we said he couldn't play anymore, then he acted gay and stole my water bottle

My dad played soccer in high school. In one game he was going to head the ball and another player went to kick it. The result was not pretty. He started to get up and the ref shoved him back to the ground so he wouldn't see how much blood there was, and I suppose to try to slow down the bleeding. Many stitches were required, obviously

Haha... well I knew I was being recruited at the time, and didn't want to look like a bitch since I knew at any given game people would be there judging... turns out my elbow got so fucked up that I wouldn't be able to even play for fun for like 3 years after that, but at the time I didn't know it...

I may have looked tough but I also looked like I had an IQ of a doorknob..

Maybe a half dozen times per game. Not that severe usually, but stiff spikes-up challenges on exposed skin are pretty common.
