An Emerald Shellback is a person who has crossed the equator where it meets the prime meridian. we did this fratty type initiation thing. they finally gave us alcohol last night and i got hammered. its been almost a month. and yes, we are in Africa.

So far we've been to Cape Verde and Sao Tome. there are dogs running rampant in the streets and large crowds of unsupervised children beating up people.
