I need some fucking new music. So I'm hoping y'all can point me to some good bands and songs on YouTube that you may not normally hear on the radio.

I'll start.

Here's a couple of awesome older songs, Socks``. You're not likely to hear these on the radio much these days:

"Living Room Scene" – Dillon Fence (no YouTube vid of this song that I can find)

"Licking Cream" - Sevendust

Haha, the opposite of new. But still a GREAT song. I remember hearing this all over the radio when I was in high school in Greensboro, back in the mid 90's...

But more seriously-

Any music by Brand New or Modest Mouse is really chill. If you like Daft Punk you may want to check out some of their live stuff, it's pretty incredible (Alive 2007). I don't really know what you like, but if you've never heard of Say Anything than they are also some pretty funny guys (they have serious songs and very unserious songs). If you haven't heard the Shins check them out (but I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of them by now). Any music by The Mars Volta is weird, but good if you're in the proper mood.

I really don't know what else to tell you- I'll search through my iPod and report back tomorrow.
