i see this movie less as entertainment and more as wanting to know what the creators think is happening regarding aliens and etc

but the fact that an astronaut just said that he was briefed that aliens came to earth helps with the Buzz for this movie

basically a non-descript mystery with vaguely paranormal involvement on the periphery, with an x-files character update story inside

would've been better the other way around, as an update story wrapped around a mystery

other than mulder & scully, it might as well have been a two-hour episode of SVU

it has nothing to do with the overarching story/conspiracy plot of the show/first movie

it's basically a one-off...there is a mention of mulder's sister, but no advancement of the story or anything of the sort

the x-files, brought to you by ford and west coast customs, was nothing more than the show stretched to 2 hours
the mystery and villains were not worth a movie
and im not sure why they didnt continue on the last movie, considering it took this long to make a sequel, it is really a disappointment but not a bad movie
