The worst cases I'm aware of are when they replace swear words with words that make absolutely no sense to use. Like replacing "asshole" with "rascal," or "mother fucker" with "mother flipper."

^^ More like they know advertisers will pull all their money from the network if they don't like the content.

And they know that having certain content will make their viewership smaller, thus less $$.
