I need a pipe union that has left handed threads on one end and right handed on the other. It's about 3/8 on both ends but I don't think they are pipe threads.
I took a motorcycle apart last summer and lost this one part. I need it to finish putting it back together.
It's a '70 Honda cl350, if you happen to have a petcock assembly with the nut that attaches it to the tank, that is what I need. 7/6/2008 11:22:17 AM |

actually, such couplings/nipples are common in utility (gas usually) piping systems where unions aren't allowed. i imagine what you've got is some sort of specialty an thread fitting though being a fuel system. wilders off of capital blvd. could have something. or maybe browse through what earl's fittings has to offer online somewhere.

some other used bike parts classifieds source (forums?) will probably be your best bet though for original stuff if it matters. i'm sure other models using the same assembly can be cross referenced in your search as well.
my final suggestion (these are no particular order really) is the honda dealer out on old wake forest rd. (can't recall the name off hand). they used to keep a decent stock of older stuff, and had access to a warehouse full of n.o.s. parts if they could order if need be. they were most helpful for a few parts i couldn't find for a 78 cx500 i had. prices weren't a bargain, but not terrible considering it being genuine honda stuff from a dealer.
