I'm moving to Greensboro, and my roommate graduates at the end of August (around Aug 20-30), so the move-in date is negotiable.

I lived in Ivy Commons for almost 2 years and liked it. Just dont get the part near Crest Rd with the Mexicans blasting Tejano music on the other side of the wall. 7/20/2008 3:40:07 AM |

^ as far as I know, they don't do any. neither me nor my friends, who also live here, had any checks. ^^and yeah, the building is in the mid of the complex, so no Tejano music; as well as no noise from Avent Ferry traffic. 7/20/2008 7:26:01 PM |

It's definitely a 20-30 minute walk depending on which part of central campus you're hitting up.
I walked rather fast when I lived there and obeyed the traffic signals as well, so I'd say google's estimate is pretty close, lol. Taking the bus from Ivy Commons is generally a no-go though as the Frat Court bus was always full. I really recommend you walk to school if you live there though. It's worth it just for the daily exercise. Drive if you're gonna come back late at night.
I'll also second that this is a great place to live. It's really quiet. Nice neighbors too. Never started shit when my roommate (See above me 11 posts) played disc golf indoors and kept slamming discs into the walls. Mostly graduate students and some asian families there. Energy bills were higher for us but we had a corner apartment that got hit with a decent amount of sunlight and had computers, laptops, TV's...
This is a fine place to live. Somebody jump on this, lol.7/24/2008 1:00:19 AM |
