TNT is a powerful explosive consiting of 37.01 % C, 2.22 % H and 18.50 % N with the balance being oxygen. What is the simplest or empirical formula of the TNT?
What does it mean "the balance being oxygen"? How do I apply that information to the problem? I know how to do it otherwise. 7/13/2008 1:26:46 PM |

that's not chemistry, that's English
it just means subtract the percentages you have from 100
and the rest is oxygen 7/13/2008 1:41:46 PM |
