I think Margarito has a pretty good shot at an upset. You never know which Margarito will show up, but I don't think Cotto has ever faced anyone as big as Margarito (who could pass for a middleweight). Because its in Las Vegas instead of New York (where Cotto usually fights), the Mexican crowd should be on Margarito's side. I predict it will go the distance and Margarito has a shot at the decision.

Could be the fight of the year. I hate it when the fights are on HBO/PPV. I usually try to wait until next week when they reair it on HBO. So, who's going to order this one?

^Thanks for posting that. I couldn't hear the commentary where I was watching it.

I wonder what's next for these two fighters. There was no rematch clause but I wouldn't mind seeing one. It should be a big money fight so hopefully it can happen soon. A rematch with Paul Williams would also make sense for Margarito.

they were active and continuously throwing meaningful shots

i dont think there were any steps backwards other then temporary stuns


great boxing, im a big fan of upclose, clench boxing...those guys didnt even have to be separated very much cuz they were throwing nice combinations in the clench
