just in time for the home run derby

seeing as how nearly every thread in sports talk about him turns into a debate about his past, i figured i would make this thread to gather everybody's feelings towards/about him

i know there are a few (if not more) users on here who either went to high school with him/dealt with him through the drug years

anyways...

LETS HEAR IT

I don't know if Tyrone Biggums ever played baseball, but we're five players short of a pretty good crackhead all-star team.

i went to AD, but i think he was two classes ahead of me. never talked to the guy but my home room teacher one year was the baseball coach. he always came by and joked around. from what i could tell he was a decent guy. everyone makes mistakes, seems he's paid for them and is moving on. commendable

I teach at ADHS now. People are still talking about him. He's cleaning up his life though and from what I hear he's a nice guy.

Dave Parker rounds out the outfield, Keith Hernandez at first, Lonnie Smith is the fourth outfielder/pinch runner, Mr. T Al Holland and Rod Beck in the pen.

His father-in-law is a builder in Raleigh and happens to be one of my favorite clients, and his wife used to work at the HBA. We got emails practically every day for weeks telling us to vote Josh into the all-star game. He seems to be a really good guy - I'm glad things turned around for him

Josh Hamilton is a freak of nature; I'm ready to see what he's about to do here....the closest thing that MLB has to a Lebron James type

and

I'LL NEVER FORGET OTIS NIXON

Takin' it back? how bout Darryl Strawberry?

just set the record for the most jacks hit in the first round of the HR derby....If you kids aren't watching this you're missing a piece of history. 28 homeruns in the first round. Unbelievable

It had been a pretty lackluster HR derby until then. Dude just looks like a baseball player, you can see why he went #1 overall. Very impressive.

Well, that was cool, no real reason to watch the rest. I guess I'll go hit the treadmill.

Oh, and sucks ass to be you right now, Berkman.
